When you are a believer, Satan does not care about you or anyone that associates with you. It is sad to know that many churches are not exposing the lies, deceits, and plans of the enemy. By doing so is the best way to defeat and tear down his kingdom.
Father of lies
Satan is the father of lies. His primary job is to deceive the people of God—especially young people. Whenever Satan sees the potential in you (especially as a vibrant youth), he will use every trick he can to deceive you. I have seen and heard about many young people that were on fire for God, but someone how, they allowed Satan to ruin their destiny with lies.
Have you ever heard a voice that tells you that nothing or no one can ever love a person like you? That is the voice of the enemy. You also have to keep in mind that Satan will sometimes use whoever he has to mess up your life. He can use your mother, father, brother, sister, or even your best friend.
James 4:7 encourages us to, Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. when you submit to God, you take away the ability for Satan to infiltrate your mind with his lies.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (Read John 10:10). The number one goal of Satan is to kill you. When there is a call of God in your life, the enemy will do everything he can to get rid of you.
As you go along this Christian path, things will sometimes get difficult; the enemy will tell you all sorts of things that are not true. Regardless of what he tells you, do not believe him. If God has promised you something (a car, a mate, financial miracle and other things) do not let the lies of the evil one discourages you. Satan usually comes when God promises for our lives doe not seem to be manifesting. Use scriptures to combat his lies like Jesus did, it is written.
When Satan tells you to give up, tell him that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Read Phil. 4:13). When he tells you've already been defeated, tell him, Greater is He [Jesus] that is in me, than he [Satan] that is in the world (Read1 John 4:4). When he threatens to destroy your life, tell him that, No weapon form against you shall prosper (Read Isaiah 54:17). These are just a few scriptures for you to use. There are many more. Check it out!
In spite of how bad things may seem, learn to trust God at all times because, God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (ReadNum. 23:19), and So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Read Isaiah 55:11).
He brings confusion
When God has placed a specific calling your life, the enemy will try to counterfeit that gift. In other words, you believe that God has called you to the youth ministry, but then you start having doubts if it is God calling for your life.
When I started college, I was sixteen years old. I wanted to major in psychology. However, I also developed a passion for music. I became extremely confused on what major to choose. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to major in music, psychology, or both. I struggled with this issue until my junior year. After praying and thinking about it, I decided to Major in psychology and minor in music.
When you allow Satan to bring confusion into your life, you become unstable in everything you do. If you are always confused on what to do, that is not of God because God is not the author of confusion but of peace (Read 1 Cor. 14:33).
Low self-esteem and image
When you allow Satan to come into any area of your life, he will be more than happy to do that. He is looking for any opportunity to destroy you. Whether it is through relationships, friendships, or other things, ones you let our guard down, he will take advantage of that. That is why we have to stand strong always and not give up in spite of what happens.
The heart of God is not for us to be depressed or have a low self-esteem, or self-image about ourselves. God wants us to be happy because The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Read Pro. 18:10).
