I Feel Stressed Out and Overwhelmed

In life, we all get to a certain point that will either make us or break us. These are very crucial moments in our lives because if we are unable to handle the pressure that is put on us by society, everyday life, or by God, it will destroy everything that we've worked very hard for. Everyday, countless number of overwhelmed people commit suicide, murder, and self inflicted injury. This is an epidemic that has been (and it still is) plaging mankind since the beginning of time. Because so many people are not equiped to deal with the pressures of everyday life, they either give up, hurt others or hurt themselves. Some commit suicide why others commit murders. Some commit rape crimes while others molest little children. Some become excessive drinkers while other get high and smoke weed. Some becomes gluttons while others become promiscuous. The list goes on and on.

Pressure has a way of bringing out certain things inside of you that you never knew were there. In fact, pressure has caused people to rob banks and grocery stores just to pay their bills. Pressures has caused people to lie just so that they will not get in trouble. Pressure has caused people to put themselves in predicaments (substituting sex for love) that they regret later. Pressure has caused people to make a decision that either blessed them or curse them. Pressure have cause people to do certain things that sent them to jail. Pressure have sent so many people to hell. Pressure have destroyed communities globally, locally and individually.

If you are in a place in your life that you need some answers to tough questions in your life, or you are going through a crossroad in your life and you just don’t know which way to go then keep reading. You can get through this crossroad successfully. In spite of where you may be in life, there is still hope for you. You may have done some horrible things in the past because you were pressured and now you regret doing those things. I want you to know that you are not alone. We’ve all done things out of pressure that we wish we had thought about before doing them. While watching TV one day, there was a young lady who grew up in a single parents home. She didn’t have anyone to guide her or be there for her. This young lady was about fifteen or sixteen years old. She didn’t have a relationship with her dad because he was never around.

One day, her mother heard rumors of her having sex. When she confronted her, she said that the rumors were true. In fact, not only did she have sex with multiple men, she was having sex in public places. She explain how she was having sex at her job’s parking lot and did other bad things. Her mother was devastated. This young lady admitted to doing those things because of lack of love (especially her dad’s) and peer pressure.

The reason why so many people get overwhelmed by the pressures of life is because they haven’t identified the pressure areas in their lives. By identifying the pressures in your life, your focus will be solely on working to eliminate those pressures.

Can you imagine going to the doctor and he/she asking you, what the problem is and you say that you are not sure? Your uncertainty will not help the doctor diagnose your problem. Thus, making it very hard to help you. Well, the same thing happens to us. If we are unable to pinpoint what areas of our lives that cause us the most stress, we’ll ignore those areas and put our attention on the wrong areas. I have come to find out that most of the things that cause us the most stress are usually the things we love to do the most. This is because when you love doing something, you put all of your effort into doing it. But when things don’t go according to our plan, we loose hope and are ready to throw in the towel.

God Almighty wants to help you live a happy and prosperous life. He wants you to have the breakthrough that you’ve been prayer for all these years. Maybe you’ve been praying for your business to prosper or for your body to be healed and because nothing seems to be happening, you feel stressed out and need God to come to your rescue. A certain level of stress is healthy for us because it keeps us motivated and healthy. On the contrary, too much stress can take away your joy, making your life miserable and unproductive.

I want you to ask the precious Holy Spirit to open your mind, soul, and spirit so that you will receive the information you read. Allow Him to help you get through this season in your life. Remember that all things (and not some things) will work for your good at the end.
